Vincotech specialises in the design and production of power modules. With around 800 employees worldwide, the company provides power modules and other technologies used in industrial, automotive and GPS applications. Strong sales growth in recent years has resulted in multiple expansions of production at the Bicske plant in Hungary. However, production capacity has now reached its limit, making restructuring necessary in order to meet customer demand. A team from MPS ARCHONIC was commissioned to plan and implement the expansion. 

Implementation and challenge

First of all, the team analysed the conditions and possibilities at the site. They then analysed the processes and optimised the workflows. Based on the results, they created a plant layout plan depicting material-flow optimisations. The team also worked with Vincotech to prepare the building services engineering. A challenge here was the implementation of clean rooms, which increased the complexity of the building's infrastructure. After the planning phase, MPS ARCHONIC also provided support with supplier management and was responsible for the relocation planning. The end result was a highly sustainable building despite the tight project timescales.
