InfraServ Wiesbaden is the owner and operator of an industrial park in the heart of Hesse. Its core business is to deliver customised real estate solutions to external companies and, if required, handle inbound and outbound logistics. One of InfraServ's customers wanted to significantly expand its production facilities. As a result, a storage and transport system was needed that could cope with the high cycle times and special requirements. The task here was to design and compare appropriate concepts.

Implementation and challenge

A major challenge was the very high frequency at which the goods had to be stored and retrieved. There were also structural restrictions and the respective impact on neighbouring companies to consider. The current and target processes were determined and an analysis of the existing buildings was carried out. This information was used to determine functional and monetarily effective concepts, ready to be assessed and pursued by InfraServ.
