To maintain its leadership in the Asian market, Rittal planned the deployment of its third-generation technology, the VX25 Roll Form Line—the most advanced to date—at its China facility. This led to the development of a new Production Extension Plant designed to support Rittal’s expansion strategy and enhance its service capacity in the region.

Implementation and challenge

MPS ARCHONIC’s interdisciplinary team conducted a thorough analysis of the existing factory and the new processes associated with the VX25 Roll Form Line. The project encompassed several stages, starting from conceptual planning (including questionnaires, layout and elevation sketches, building specifications, and room books) to detailed engineering design management, procurement, and construction management.

Additionally, MPS ARCHONIC provided an Energy Concept service for both the existing plant and the new Production Extension Hall, ensuring sustainable and efficient energy use.

The first batch of the VX25 Roll Form Line was successfully mobilized into the new Production Hall within just six months after receiving the construction permit. Through close collaboration and seamless management between Rittal and MPS ARCHONIC teams, the production line was installed, tested, and commissioned over the next six months. The successful start of production marked a milestone, with the new Production Extension Plant officially handed over to Rittal, reinforcing their market leadership.
