Founded in 1925 the Marquardt AG became an international provider of electronic parts for the car industry. The company has 22 production plants worldwide and over 10k employees. The first phase of the Weihai plant was built in 2017 and the extension is projected in 2022. 

Implementation and challenge

MPS ARCHONIC build the bridge between the client nominated German planner team for architecture and HVAC concept planning and the Chinese design team. After, detailed evaluation with technical and financial evaluation MPS Archonic provided comprehensive project management services to ensure highest quality in time and with the given budget. The 20.000 sqm big steel structure serves and clean room including ESD function, assembly area and warehouse. Also a heavy load floor for for molding machines could be integrated. The Adjacent 11,000sqm concrete structure accommodates support functions , technical rooms and administrative functions. 

In December 2023 the project was successfully hand over to Marquardt Switches Weihai under the watchful eyes of Dr. Marquardt.
